Can Unprotected Sex Two Days Before Periods Lead To Pregnancy?

Hi doctor i have a question me and my husband had unprotected sex and he ejaculated in me and i tried takingnit out ASAP and washing my vagina semen did come out i just dont know if it all came out and i dont know if i can become pregnant because im suppose to get my period within two days

Thanks for the query.
If you are having regular menstrual cycles, the possibility of pregnancy is less.
Because usually in case of regular menstrual cycles, ovulation will not occur two days before expected date of periods.
If you are having irregular menstrual cycles, then there is some possibility for ovulation and pregnancy.
So, you once check with ovulation kit now.
If the kit eliminates the possibility of ovulation, no need to worry.
If kit shows fertile period, better to go for emergency contraception pill.
Because though you removed most of the semen, it cannot be surely said that there are no spermatozoa.
And few spermatozoa are enough to fertilize the ovum.
