Because usually in case of regular menstrual cycles, ovulation will not occur two days before expected date of periods. If you are having irregular menstrual cycles, then there is some possibility for ovulation and pregnancy. So, you once check with ovulation kit now. If the kit eliminates the possibility of ovulation, no need to worry. If kit shows fertile period, better to go for emergency contraception pill. Because though you removed most of the semen, it cannot be surely said that there are no spermatozoa. And few spermatozoa are enough to fertilize the ovum. Take care.
