Can Ulcerative Colitis Be Cured?

my mom has been suffering from ulcerative colitis since 22 yrs, now for last 2 weeks, she is having pain in stomach and unable to drink and eat anything. we had a CT scan also, and dr. gave antibiotics, and painkiller and acidity medicine. pls suggest, where we should go for right treatment

There is, in fact, a cure for ulcerative colitis specifically, but you may not like the answer, it is surgery to remove the entire large intestine. However, for some, depending on the severity, this can be a life changer. There are plenty of medications available to suppress ulcerative colitis 'flare ups', your mom should see her gastroenterologist to discuss this further.
