Can Two Cholesterol Medication Be Taken At The Same Time?
My recent blood test shows a high level of cholestrol at 268 mg/dL, triglycerides at 454 mg/dL and the Chol/HDL ratio at 6.1. The doctor prescribed Crestor 10 mg together with Lipanthyl supra 160. Is it normal to take 2 types of cholestrol medication at the same time?
In case cholesterol levels are too high combination of two cholesterol lowering medications can be considered. But caution should be taken, as in this case the possibility of adverse events are higher. In your case I would prefer the combination of statin (like Crestor) and Omega 3 in high doses
Hope I could help you
Wishing you good health
