Can Treatment For Tonsillitis Cause Loss Of Interest In Sex And Depression?
Hello doctor .I m 24 yr old boy. Height 5.5 wt 50 kg. I was admitted in ent ward due to severe tosillitis on right side of palate . Den was given I.V. cephoperazone sulbctam ,dexona ,amika,dinapar for 5 days. Den discharged. Now I feel weekness n depression n loss of intrst in sex . . .is it temporary or need any treatment?

Hi , thanks for your clarification, there is no relation between tonsillitis surgery and depression / decreased sexual interest. often post surgery there used to be weakness and swing in the mood which is only temporary. But the medications you took i.e. dexamethasone which is a steroid can cause depression which in turn can cause decreased libido. But the chance is very less and I want to know the dosage of dexamethasone and how long you took. If any further query, free to ask.
