General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi,
thnks for writing in to hcm.
A cervical fibroid is a benign mass consisting of fibrous tissue in the cervical region of the uterus.
It rarely transforms into a malignant one. If the pap smear dosnt show precancerous or cancerous changes on microscopy then donot worry.

If the fibroid is not large enough it need not be removed but if it causes problems it may be removed. So, dont worry.

Regards,
Dr.Riyanka
