My name is snk,kha,my age is 28 years weight 47 kgs i am suffering from thyroid problem since my first childs birth first my doctor recommended thyroxine tables 25 mg for few month and now i am on 10 mg pills.problem i dont have any major problem my only problem is my period last for 10-15 days due to thyroid problem, is there any complete treatment for thyroid problem please tell me
1. If you are having prolonged menses even after normalisation of your thyroid function, you should consult a Gynaecologist and get evaluated for increased bleeding. A gynaecologist may do an Ultrasound examination to look for any local causes like uterine fibroids.
2. There is no complete cure for hypothyroidism. Thyroxine is just a replacement of deficient thyroid hormones. Don't worry it is free of side effects if you are taking it at correct dose
