Can These Tests Involving Barium Cause Hair Loss?

I am 60 years oldm 5ft 8in, 11.5 stone and have had an episode of acute diverticulitis and bowel blockage. Am still having invesitagations carried out including a barium enema and just a couple of days ago a barium follow through w-ray. I have started to experience hair loss thrugh brakage which seemed to occur after having had the barium enema. Can these tests inolving barium cause hair loss?

No the chances of hair loss from barium enema are very rare,so it is not associated with it.
Barium enema series facts

A barium enema (lower GI series) is an X-ray procedure used to define the anatomy of the large intestine (colon) and the rectum.
A barium enema involves filling the colon and rectum with a white liquid material (barium) often followed by air (double-contrast barium enema).
The risks of barium enema includes discomfort, radiation exposure, and perforation of the colon.
Women who are or may be pregnant should notify the doctor requesting the procedure and the radiology staff because of the risk of radiation exposure to the fetus.
