Can The Use Of Risperdal Be The Reason For The Development Of Breast?
Hi I have heard that Risperdal has been called as bad drug..My son was put on this medication and developed breast. He is now 24yrs old and will not go without some kind of shirt as the breast he developed is very emmbarasing to him...Im looking for a number to contact about this so called bad drug with this side effect. I am Cody Patfields mother...Nadine Patfield Thank you for any help with this matter..Unfourntally I do not have money im on disability and he does not work so would u be able to leave a number on my email for me
Development of breast is very common side effect with risperidone and any one taking risperidone can get this side effect. This is due to elaveted prolactin(a hormone). Currently lot of medicines are available that are devoid of this side effect like olanzapine, aripiprazole.
If he is doing well with risperidone, than taking a drug to counter the effect of prolactin (antiprolactin) is a option. Thanks
