Hello, I hope you are well, we must separate that infection by hepatitis B virus can present acutely or chronically; Most of the cases develop acute infection and the body manages to contain and eliminate the infection. In cases that become chronic can lead to long-term liver disease and even liver cirrhosis. The causes of transmission include the sexual route, blood transfusions, so you must use barrier protection (condon) and avoid sharing rakes, razors, etc., this coupled with the patient who is with the infection receive the appropriate treatment to maintain viral replication decreased.
