Can The Odor Of Vaginal Discharge Become Worse After Sex?
So on Tuesday I went to the doctor as I was noticing some continual bleeding and a change in odor and discharge consistency. What we found out was that I had a lost tampon in me for the past 3 weeks. She removed it and the smell is now gone as well as the discharge, but there is still some blood spotting. She did prescribe me antibiotics since I tested positive for a vaginal bacterial infection but I want to avoid taking them as they re supposed to make me sick and I have important things to do this weekend. So here are my questions: 1) If I have sex, will it cause an increase in odor? I have read that if you have a bacterial infection, the odor will increase after sex. My odor has subsided as far as I can tell but I would be embarrassed if it came back while having sex 2) Is it ok if I wait until Sunday to take the pills or is it critical I start taking them immediately?
It is mostly suggestive of vaginal fungal infection for which you can take some antibiotic preferably cefadroxyl or doxycycline after an expert opinion along with cetrizine or avil for itching. You can take Fole 150 mg or use clingen-forte vaginal pessary to put into the vagina once daily for at-least 5 days. Maintain the hygiene of private part.
