Can Taking Lithosun, Depakote And Oleanz Plus Increase Blood Glucose Level?

Hello Doctor,

This is with regards to my mother who is 59 years old. For more than 9 years she is in taking psychiatric medicines. Last 8 months she is continuing the below medicines which feel that her blood glucose levels have shooted up to 372 post fasting.

Lithosun sr 1-0-1
Depakote 250mg 0-1-0
Oleanz plus 0-0-1

This combination of medicines works good and understand from some sources oleanz plus would induce blood glucose levels very high. Is it true. If so is there any alternate for oleanz plus.

Regards
Sathish

HI
Thank for askimf to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your mother, no antipsychotic can increase the blood glucose level, she must be having type 2 diabetes and it is to be treated as a separate etiology on the contrary this drugs some time lower the glucose level and helps in controlling the blood glucose level, she can be continue the drugs which she is taking now have nice day and take good care of your mother .
