Can Taking Encorate Be Safe For Seizures?
Hi, I am writing for my brother. He is 17 years old and recently he had seizures and the Doctor advised to take ENCORATE CHRONO 200*2 tablets daily. Yesterday he had a seizure again and when we consulted the doctor, he advised to take ENCORATE CHRONO 500 *3 daily. So is there any side effects for the medicine at such high dose and how long should he continue..? Thanks

I had gone through the question and understand your concern.
Intially this.high dose is required to control the seizures. Later the dose can be reduced.
As far as side effects are concerned ,
Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea are the most common side effects.
In addition, hair loss with curly regrowth can occur.
Ankle edema and obesity can be troublesome side effects.
In addition, some patients may experience tremors of limbs.
