Can Taking Cellcept Be Safe For SLE?

My son is suffering from Chronic ITP as per reports at Mumbai and some doctors are saying its not ITP it is a SLE. From last 3 years my son is running on Steroids,Ecosprin,HCQS,Shelcal. Now the Delhi doctor is advising to start Cellcept medicine. Please advise me the correct procedure and also where to take him for further treatment. My daughter is also suffering from SLE from last 7 years and now she is taking Cellcept as her regular medicine.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
First of all you need to confirm diagnosis whether it is ITP or SLE.
For that you should go for bone marrow examination and ANA profile. It will give you exact diagnosis whether your son has ITP or SLE or both. Then you should start treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
