Can Tablets Effect The Blood Pressure?

Hi i am 50 year old man on medication to lower blood pressure recently got tested for my GGT which where at 139 pretty high my doctor told me was because of drink i drink a casual drink on the weekend sme as most people could my tablets be effecting my results

Hi,welcome to HCM.
Elevated GGT in your case is not related to antihypertensive medications.This enzyme elevation is mostly secondary to the alcohol induced liver damage.This elevated value warrants further work up like an Ultrasound of the abdomen and a complete liver function testing.Cessation of alcohol intake coupled with regular physical exercise and low fat diet can make the elevated GGT values come to baseline.Consult your doctor/gastroenterologist for further queries.
