Can Soreness And Swelling Inside The Ear Be An Infection Caused By Ear Syringing?

Hi i have got wax in my right ear which is due to be syringed on weds. I suffer from time to time with this, but i was prodding my ear one night very slightly as it was very itchy (after putting oil in it) and i seem to have made it very sore and swollen, and painful....I ve read online it could be an infection, do you think this is likely or just a result of me touching the ear??? :-(

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The pain and infection might be due to infection, at the site of the scratch you have made, What ever it is due to it must be treated before it is syringed.
I advise you to consult an E.N.T, surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and
protein rich foods to increase the resistance against the infections.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
