Can Sharing An HIV Patient's Shaving Kit And Toothbrush Cause HIV?


Respected Sir / Madam,
One of my friend who is suffering from HIV/AIDS initially I do not know about his HIV status after some later it was come to my notice that he is suffering from HIV. We are roommates and pursing Post graduation. We used to keep our Shaving Kit and mouth wash related Kit viz., Toothbrush and tooth paste at single place.
But we never used the same items at a time, he used to shave 03 to 04 hours earlier and mothwash kit also 02 to 03 hours earlier. if my friend accidently used to my Shaving Kit & Tooth Brush accidently. am I at the danger of acquiring HIV.
Please kindly answer me if I accidently used the SHAVING RAZOR & TOOTH BRUSH would lead to any HIV infection as my marriage has been fixed and I am suffering with so much of mental tense and sleepless nights kindly replay to me, it would be great help.
During office house if any PAPER PIN PRICK CAUSES HIV infection KINDLY ANSWER TO MY DOUBTS & What is the survival time of the virus once it is exposed from the human body.

Welcome to HCM.

Saliva of the infected person has not adequate concentration of virus to cause a fresh infection. When there is a bleeding lesions in the mouth it may be infectious.
Shaving brush can not transmit HIV whereas razors can do theoretically.

In your case, as you and your friend were using your shaving and brushing kits 2 to 3 hours apart, there is no chance of HIV transmission even if they had been shared unknowingly. HIV can not be viable outside the body and body fluids not more than few seconds.
Prick by pins used by the positive individuals, immediately, within one or two minutes can cause an infection.
