Can Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Be Transferred By Masturbating With Hands That Touched A Potential Carrier?
Hi doctor. On Saturday night after way too much alcohol I ended up at a place I probably shouldn't have been (a "night club" which I'm fast suspecting was essentially a brothel). Anyway these girls came up to our table and started talking to us. One of them started holding my hand and touching my face. We may have shared a few drinks from the same glass but did not have sex or kiss. I went home a couple of hours later and masturbated without washing my hands. Is there any risk of me contracting an std ? Keep In mind I am holidaying in sri lamla where prostitution is illegal so workers probably aren't subject to mandatory testing.

I can understand your concern for the possibility of Sexually Transmitted Diseases after the incidence.
As you haven't had nay type of exchange of body fluids so it is quite impossible to get any sort of infection related to Sexually Transmitted Diseases. Even if there is body fluid contact then from kissing also there is less possibility of STDs.
IN your case you only exchanged the same glass which can not make any STD to propagate through non living articles. If STDs propagated like this then half of this world would had been suffering from one or the other type of STDs.
So be relaxed!!
Your mode of contact will not cause any infections so you should not be worried about the same. Always use condoms during any type of sexual encounter to get protected form STDs.
