Can Sex During Ovulation Lead To Pregnancy?

My ovulation occurred from Jan1-jan7th I believe. I had sex while I was ovulating and to be sure I wasn't pregnant I took plan B. My period is suppose to start 2 weeks from now. But for the past 2 days I have had spotting. What does this mean? Should I take a pregnancy test now? Since I've been spotting?. Or do I have to wait in 2 weeks when my actual period is suppose to occur? Because I'm not sure. I heard that plan b jacks up your period so you wouldn't be sure when to take one. Please help me

Hello,

Unprotected sex close to ovulation time is high risk for pregnancy. However, you took Plan B which gives more than 95% protection within first 24 hrs and around 85% within 24 to 48 hrs.

Spotting may be due to withdrawal effect of the pill. Your period may be delayed 1 to 2 weeks from due date due to hormonal imbalance and mental stress.

However, you must undergo one home pregnancy test 1 week after missed period to clear doubt. Early test is less significant. Maintain genital hygiene and good luck.
