Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
hi
with your short description and without any pain in the hip region.it seems nothing much to worry about.most likely they are because of dependent i.e because of gravity, hypoproteinemia.my advice would be keep limb elevated and do the foot and ankle excercises.take some drugs which help in reducing swelling like trypsin/chymotrypsin.if swelling does not resolve to above measure get cardiac and kidney function test.
take care
