Hello,
Thank you for asking on HCM!
I do understand your query but i would ask you to give some more information regarding to your thyroid hormonal level.
-Did you ever checked the thyroid hormones or just the antiTPo and antiTg antibodies?
Thyroiditis Hashimoto is an autoimmune disease that destroys the thyroidal tissue and when >80% of the tissue is destroyed, the gland lowers its function (this is called hypothyroidism). In general it is a chronic progressive disease.
Once the antibodies are confirmed to be positive, TSH should be monitored yearly and when it tends to raise above the normal ranges (that means that the function of the gland is low), hormonal replacement therapy with levothyroxine is recommended.
Hope to have clarified your queries.

Best wishes,
Dr.M.Guni
