Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have donated blood last wednesday. After that I am facing little higher heart beat rate for abt 90 bpm..please could you let me know what could be the reason. Is this because of the blood donation..My age is 28 and I weigh about 65.My height is 172 cm.
Certainly it can be due to blood donation. You have plenty of fluids, you will feel better. Due to removal of blood from the circulation heart tries to compensate by increasing rate. No need to worry, it will be settled in 2 to 3 days. Your body will replace the removed blood in a week.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Sagar Makode
