Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Raised ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate) is suggestive of inflammation in the body.
You are also having cough, irritation in airways with breathlessness on exertion. These are seen mostly with bronchitis (inflammation of airways).
So possibility of bronchitis is more in your case.
So better to consult pulmonologist and get done clinical examination of respiratory system and PFT (pulmonary function test).
PFT will also tell you about severity of the disease and treatment is based on severity only.
You will need antibiotic, inhaled bronchodilator and inhaled corticosteroids (ICS).
Don't take treatment by your own. First diagnose yourself and then start appropriate treatment.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
