Can Pregnancy Still Happen After Taking Deviry 10mg?

hi doctor,i m 22 years old.my periods are irregular.my weight is 53 kg.not married yet and i m sexually active.my boy friend and i always use precaution while doing sex.bt it has been almost 2 months and i didn't have my period.my gynacologist gave me diviry 10 mg(twice a day) upto 5 days.bt after that if i dont get my period does that mean that i m pragnant????

Hi,
You can expect withdrawal bleeding to occur 3-7 days after completion of hormone treatment. If you do not see a period even after ten days, you would need investigation to know the cause. In such an instance, pregnancy is more likely in your situation. You can get an assessment of the serum beta-hCG titres to confirm/exclude pregnancy. If you have never missed a period prior to this, you should indeed contemplate pregnancy first and if negative, hormone imbalance should be suspected. Hope this helps.
