Can Pinworms Be Cured By Giving Combantrin To A Child?
My five year old has pinworms and has taken Combantrin 1 last night. Tonight she has extreme itchiness at the anus and worms are seen crawling out. She is very distressed and I am using wet wipes to help remove them when she finds the itching too much to bear. I am wondering how many of these worms can be in her body and how long before they die or we get to them?

Hi,
Combantrin is used mainly for tape worm and round worm infestation.
First option is Albendazole as it has specific action on Pinworm.
Second choice is Combantrin.
Wait for few days and if complete eradication is not there then give him Albendazole syrup or one tablet stat.
Keep nails well cut and maintain nail hygiene proper.
Ok and take care.
