Can Pimple In The Groin Area With Body Aches Be Symptom Of Herpes?

HI I JUST HAVE A QUESTION .. LAST WEEK BEFORE MY PERIOD CAME, AFTER I SHAVED MY PRIVATE AREA I NOTICED SOMETHING THAT LOOK LIKE A PIMPLE,, DOING RESEARCH I HEARD IT COULD BE A INGROWN HAIR, I LOOKED A HAIR WAS THERE, I TRIED TO GET IT OUT BUT I COULDNT, INSTEAD AGRAVATED THE AREA, NOW I NOTICE I FEEL SICK.. BODY ACHES TIRED, SLIGHTLY WARM... I ALREADY HAD FLU A MONTH A GO.. CALLED DOCTOR TO SEE IF ITS POSSIBLE HERPES, AND SHE DID BLOOD WORK AND IT WAS NEGATIVE... FEW DAYS AGO... AND I DONT SLEEP AROUND.. IS THERE ANY HELP FOR THIS THANK U

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Seems to me like a case of bacterial infection/furuncle.

If I was your treating doctor i would have put you on oral antibiotics for a week(preferably penicillin group e.g Amoxycillin).

You can apply an OTC antibacterial like mupirocin twice daily over the lesion as well.

An OTC pain killer e.g ibuprofen can be taken once or twice daily for the pain and discomfort associated with it.
