Can Phlebitis Cause Difficulty In Urinating After Catheter Removal That Was Fitted For Hip Replacement Surgery?

I had hip replacement on 1/6, am taking lovenox injections. I had a catheter for one day. Now, I have trouble urinating, although I drink lots of water, have been told I do not have a bladder infection; I have to actually push out the urine and feel like I never can go - feels like there is inflammation. I also feel extremely fatigued; I was in the ER last evening; I have phlebitis and have been given antibiotic for this; the bladder is no better so far, though. Thank you for any info Sandra

Hi welcome to health care magic forum.
It appears that there is the swelling of the tissues around the urethra, may be due to the swelling of the tissues of the hip, and surrounding structures.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods for recovery of the tissues.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.Thank you.
