Can Paranoid Schizophrenic Person Be Treated With The Help Of A Psychologist?

I just found out that this man whom I deeply am in love with is a paranoid schizophrenic. He turned on me last week and we have shared so many things together. He thinks he is in love with this astral plane lover whom he is trying to give to Jesus and does not know how to handle my being in love with him. I finally told him that one day...and he said he didn t know what to do with that. He has astral plane sex with this lover and likes it but thinks that he likes the demonic a lot though he knows that Jesus doesn t and is trying to rid that activity. It seems so crazy to me. I am afraid to go near him since he threw me out of his store last week. His biggest thing is that he doesn t want to traumatize me with tales of this astral plane sex lover he has....I feel so sad. He was so sweet and gentle and loving and honest and kind and it has all gone to hell....never wanted a relationship at all and now look what happened He will talk to my son every night but not me. I know he is decompensating but he hates the psychologist, regular Christians and at various times me and our pastor...HELP! WIll he ever be NORMAL again? BTW, he is angry at the psychologist and says that is a bunch of B.S. that Bill just doesn t understand where he is at...

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for choosing health care magic for posting your query.
I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
From what you have stated it is quite clear that your partner is having schizophrenia of paranoid type. Psychological help may not cure his illness. he will certainly need help from a psychiatrist. The common drugs which can be useful fro him are olanzapine, risperidone, aripiprazole, quetiapine etc. These drugs need to be given regularly for atleast 10-12 months.
As health care magic is an online forum, legally we are not supposed to prescribe medications without physically examining you. Such regulation are primarily meant for the safety of the patients as well as the Doctor. Further any prescription given in E-mail will not be honored by the pharmacy in your country. Sincere apologies for the same.
Do visit your psychiatrist who can help you with the prescriptions.
Hope I am able to answer your concerns.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
