Can Painful Numbness In The Legs And Buttocks Cause A Pinched Nerve?

Yes, you are right. It happens due to compression of the nerve. This compression may be at multiple sites including from its origin to any in its course. It is also called as sciatica. Next thing is to look for compression site which can be noted form examination and MRI scan. In the treatment, medicine like Neurobion and Pregabalin. Physiotherapy can help to relieve compression. Definitive treatment is surgery, which is done after other measures have failed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
