Can Painful Numbness In The Legs And Buttocks Cause A Pinched Nerve?

hello my name is paula and i think i have a pinched nerve i have numness in my legs n feet and pain that seems like its coming from the back of my leg muscle from my butt to my feet all the way down the back of my leg. it only bother my when i try to bend forward and sometimes sitting! am I right with my thinking?

Hi,

Yes, you are right. It happens due to compression of the nerve. This compression may be at multiple sites including from its origin to any in its course. It is also called as sciatica. Next thing is to look for compression site which can be noted form examination and MRI scan. In the treatment, medicine like Neurobion and Pregabalin. Physiotherapy can help to relieve compression. Definitive treatment is surgery, which is done after other measures have failed.
