I was prescribed Pregabalin following a hip operation that resulted in a damaged sciatic nerve and what I later called My dead leg . This was not discovered until, I was about to have a replacement knee on the same leg that I again mentioned my dead leg that the operation was cancelled pending further investigations and above damage was discovered. I was also told I have osteoporosis. I would mention that for years I complained of stomach trouble and eventually had an operation for colon cancer but still had the same problem. Years later I was diagnosed with coeliac disease since when I have no problems due to a gluten free diet. I am now 85 and until the fall, unaware of the osteoporosis, I was active - walking and gardening. I was later prescribed Pregabalin for some time and eventually I asked to just remain on my current medication ie Thyroxine, Lansoprazole and Adcal D-3 Caplets. I am having physiotherapy in the hope I can stimulate the leg. My question is - Is it possible that I can cure this problem as I had no relief from Pregabalin? Sorry this is such an extended message but hope springs eternal....
