Can Oral Sex Cause Dry Coughs, Mucus And A Discolored Tongue?
I recently had oral sex and the next morning I noticed I had a minor sore throat which went away within a few days. A few days after it went away I noticed the roof of my mouth and underneath my tounge were yellow with tiny spider veins. I also noticed my touge was a little white not sure if that should be too considering considering my touge gets like that sometimes after I eat. Now I have minor dry coughs and I can feel mucas starting to develop. Also I don't know if this is normal but my veins are really blue underneath my touge
Oral sex can cause infection in mouth and throat leading to sore throat, mucous, cough and discolouration of mouth and palate..
If the tongue is coated white then it can be due to yeast infection causing Oral Thrush..
So my suggestion is to first of all consult an Emergency room and get evaluated.. An oral and throat swab culture can be done to rule out the exact nature of the infection and can be treated accordingly..
As of now you can start gargling with warm saline solution.. You can also take a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen.. Take cough expectorant like Gueifenesin. Clean your tongue using tongue cleaner.. Drink plenty of warm water and avoid spicy foods..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
