In January of 2010 I started experiencing itchiness in my vagina. I went to my doctor and she diagnosed me with thrush. The effect however kept recurring. Between January and July I experience heaving bloating (swelling) and tenderness in my pelvic area. This has since surpassed. I took blood tests my gynae used the tests to measure my ca125 (I was diagnoseds with endometriosis 2 years ago)She said it was high. (could it all be related to the chlamydia?) Two days ago I took a home chlamydia test and tested positive for Chlamydia. I have a dull pain in my lower back (left side) and a whitish discharge. Is there a way of gaging how long I've had chlamydia for? if so what are my chance of falling pregnant? Is there a procedure to reverse the damage so I canf all pregnant? Please help Worried and panicked
Hi, Welcome to HCM. Relapse of vaginal yeast infection might be due to various reasons like hormone treatment, steroids, prolonged antibiotics, Diabetes Mallitus, metranidazole treatment etc. Partners also have to be examined and treated if necessary. Chlamydia would not affect the ca125 level. There is no test or parameters to detect the age of the Chlamydia. If the chlamydial infection is recent enough and not going for any complication it can be treated easily and would not interfere in becoming pregnant. Even if it had caused any block to your tubes after treating the Chlamydia infection, this can also be reversed. Your Gynecologist will guide you properly and treat the chlamydia infection and also guide you to get pregnant. Dr S.Murugan
