Can One Apply Nebasulf Powder On The Anal Abscess ?

Hi i have an anal abscess just outside the anal opening(pre anal?) Check it with a surgeon who confirmed it was a burnt abscess. He gave me antibiotics and anti inflamatory tablets for 5 days. The pus discharge has reduced to a good extent. Can i apply some nebasulf powder to speed up the healing process? It 5 days since the start of the treatment. Thanks for the reply

Hello!
Continue antibiotics for another five days till the abscess heals completely. If it doesn't subside completely with antibiotics and if pain continues, you may need drainage of the abscess (a minor surgical procedure to remove the pus) . Applying nebasulf powder is not useful because the infection is inside.
Avoid constipation.

According to Ur History....it could be FISTULA or FISSURE IN ANO..,
So treat this..by
1) Surgically Drianage of the pus...
2) Course of the Antiboitics for 7 days..,
3) Nebosulf powder sould not use...,it may block the fistula or fissure
and going to severity..,
4) only use topical Mupirocin cream..,

Hi,
thanks for the query.
proper drainage of the abscess is necessary for the early healing of the lesion .
Rather than using any powder please take fomentation and apply some ointment like sofinex ointment .Powders may block the opening of the abscess preventing free drainage of pus .
please get a review of the condition with treating doctor and discuss
