Can Mumps Causing Right Testicle Injury Result In Infertility?

My son at age 16 years has passed mumps as a result of the right testicle is injured. For the money that go to make semen test i want to know from you whether there is a risk for infertility?? - And he says that semen comes with color as yellow is it possible? - If sperm test after a normal result is therefore possible with the left testicle in a future baby boy and girl do? - But impotence can i come earlier than others? I am in great dilemma for the future of my son :(

Hello
Thanks for query.
Your 16 years old son has Mumps and had Orchitis on Tr side .

Orchitis is known complication of mumps and in majority of cases there is no production of sperms from the affected testis .

Since he has normal Left testis there is no reason why you should be worried about he landing up in infertility.

There are about 2% of the males with congenital absence of one testis but still they have normal sexual life and have children.

You can get this confirmed by doing his semen analysis .This will help to allay your anxiety.
