Can Mumps Causing Right Testicle Injury Result In Infertility?
Hello Thanks for query. Your 16 years old son has Mumps and had Orchitis on Tr side . Orchitis is known complication of mumps and in majority of cases there is no production of sperms from the affected testis . Since he has normal Left testis there is no reason why you should be worried about he landing up in infertility. There are about 2% of the males with congenital absence of one testis but still they have normal sexual life and have children. You can get this confirmed by doing his semen analysis .This will help to allay your anxiety. Dr.Patil.
