Can Motrin Be Taken Intermitently With Prednisone And Tylenol For Sciatica Pain In The Leh Upto The Knee?
Hi Doctor, I have sciatica pain which goes down my left leg to my knee. Very painful in my knee. I am on 5mg of prednisone for the inflamation an d i am taking tylenol with codeine. Can i also take motrin intermitently.I started with this pain two days ago . When should i hope to get some relief. Thank You

Yes, you can use motrin intermittently, but should reduce the dose of tylenol with codeine. Let's say you are taking this combination twice daily, and intend to use motrin, you should take only one dosage and the other motrin.
Please keep in mind to take the drugs with a distance of 5-8 hours in between.
