Can Morning Sickness Be Symptom Of Pregnancy?

Hi there. I am 24 years old and diabetic. I think that I may be pregnant. I've been getting sick in the mornings and at other times of the day but I've been getting my periods on a regular basis. I am not due until the 9th of this month and I took a test but it was negative. Could there be a false negative since I am diabetic? I really have a feeling that I am. I was late a week in August and the test was negative then too but lately i have been feeling extremely nauseous!

Hi,
Morning sickness is one of the symptoms of pregnancy but not a confirmatory symptom. Since your pregnancy tests were negative, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. Nausea and vomiting could be due to other reasons as well.

To confirm whether you are pregnant, visit a gynaecologist. Presence of fetal heart beat and Ultra sonography can confirm your pregnancy.

Hope I've answered your query. Feel free to ask if you have any doubts.

Wish you good health
With regards,
Dr. Sridhar
