Can Missing Cartia ( For High BP ) For 2 Days Lead To Headache?

My 38 year old son takes Cartia daily for high blood pressure. He came to visit and forgot his medicine. He was without his medicine for 2 nights, 3 days. Last night he experienced a terrible headache and is still complaining today. Is this do to missing 2 doses of his medicine? Thank You. MB

Cartia is low dose asprin given usually in heart patients. Why are you taking cartia. Are there any comorbidities? You proper history and exam is required. Just a withdrawal of 100 mg cartia per day is an unlikely cause of headache. You may require an MRI for ruling out secondary headache.
