Can Medicines Raise The Level Of Blood Sugar?

My husbands blood sugar are higher than usual. His blood pressure was a little elevated at the cardiologists office. The doctor raised his Carvedilol to 25mg morning and night and also added Hydralazine 50mg morning and night. Could this be the cause of his sugar rising?

HI
Thanks for posting your query .

Yes the Carvedilol can increase the blood sugars but it will increase very slightly .

He needs to check his Fasting and postprandial blood sugars and HBA1c . He might be having diabetes and not due to BP medicines .
Kindly revert back after the test reports . If it's in Diabetes range he requires medication for that also . I will advise once you revert back .
I find this answer helpful
