Can Medication Of Gabapentin, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone And Acetominophen Cause Side Effects?

Dr. , I am 71 and in excellent health, except for a painful back from an accident 25 years ago. I have been taking Gabapentin 600 mg about every 4 hours, and Oxycodone or Hydrocodone mixed with Acetominophen. I started having mild memory problems affecting my large business, so I check online, and found that both Gabapentin and Acetominophen can cause memory problems. I just got a new prescription for Oxycodone without Acetominophen, which I started yesterday. I ll continue taking the Gabapentin, to see if the Acetominophen was the culprit. If the memory problems continue, I will then also stop the Gabapentin, and rely on CBD for pain relief, as it is VERY effective (I smoke it with prescription in California). I also take Neurogenix for memory. Should I be doing anything else to restore memory? Thanks!

At age of 70 about 20% brain cells die. So there is some decrease in memory after 70. Medications do affect memory, but if you have serious memory loss affecting your routine life you should consult neurologist to look for specific memory disorders like one common is multi-infarct dementia.
