Can Lowering Bp Help Maintain Leaky Bicuspid Valve?

I am 21 year old male with a leaky aortic bicupsid valve and I m wonder how lowering my pressure(I have high blood pressure) will help maintain the longevity of valve so I can avoid replacement surgery for a couple of more years. I m confused upon the direct relationship between lowering bp and maintenance of valve.

Cardiac Surgeon 's  Response
if your blood pressure is high then heart should do more work to pump blood into aorta and more pressures will damage ur valve more also and the left ventricle may also fail or hypertrophy leading to heart failure. u should keep ur blood pressures loh and decrease workload of heart and if workload is more also u may get myocardial infarction becarful

Cardiac Surgeon Dr. Azam Jan's  Response
I don't think lowering BP helps.Keep BP normal is the best strategy.Decision of surgery depends upon the severity of leakage.
