Can Lifting Heavy Objects Long Way Cause Pulmonary Embolism?

Hi, I had 2 pulmonary embolisms, Dec. 2010 and Sep 2011. First one was bottom right side of ribcage. Today, i carried 40 lb bag of rock salt really far 300-400 feet.and have the same pain i felt in Dec 2011. It has been 9 hours now. Pain getting worse. Can lifting heavy bag & carrying it long way cause another pulmonary embolism? I am taking coumadin every day for 4 years.

I don't think it can cause pulmonary embolism but since you had twice attacks this heavy weight lifting can cause dislodgement of the embolus and may precipitate embolus. But this is very rare cause. So don't wait rush to the ER. Get done ECG. Sometimes myocardial ischemia can also cause similar symptoms. So consult your doctor now.
