Can kidney stones cause low back pain ?

Hello, my boyfriend who is 23 years old. He has been complaining how his low back (both sides) hurts every morning. He said it feels so tight and pressure for 30 minutes then it will heal after 30 minutes. He keep think that its kidney stones and i dont believe that. Anyway he has this feeling for 7 years. Maybe he needs a better bed?

Thanks for query,
I think due to lack of exercise he got this problem.
Due to sleeping overnight his back muscles become stiff and in the morning with muscle activity causes pain on the back.
Use hard bed,
Do daily exercise like back extension exercise, running, jogging, swimming.
ok and bye.
