Can Irregular Periods Be Side Effect Of Postinor?

Hello doc, Pls, I need your help, have been taken postinor 1for more than two years now but I have stop taking it for almost a year now. But know my mesturation is coming know twice a month am really getting worry, could this be the side effect of postinor. Thanks

Yes, irregular menstrual bleeding is an important side effect of Positnor.

Frequent use of emergency contraceptive like Positnor can result in side effects such as menstrual irregularities, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome & sometimes even infertility.

It is a common side effect due to high dose of levonorgestrel (progesterone hormone) in the pill, which disrupts your normal menstrual cycles.

You need to be thoroughly evaluated by a gynecologist to regularize your periods.
