Can Intake Of Plan B Cause Early Periods?

Hi. I took plan b 2 days after being with my boyfriend. A few days later, I got what appeared to be my period. It wasn t spotting because it was heavy like my regular period. I wasn t supposed to be due untill the first week of august. Does this mean that plan b is working or should I be worried?

Hello, I really appreciate your concern. Breakthrough bleeding is common after using emergency contraceptive pills. It can lead to early menstruation in some women. So there is nothing to worry about it. Your plan B has definitely worked.
