Can Intake Of Cannabinoids Lower Cholesterol Levels?

I totally believe in marijuana. I hate the feeling when you are coming off of it but the pyhsical rewards can be worth it. There are over 70 cannabinoids in Marijuana. I know THC,CBD are getting a lot of attention. I would at this point like to know which Cannibinoid will lower Cholesterol ? I want to know what every cannabinoid does but I now research is limited. I have incredible insomnia. I am in Florida where Medical Marijuana is not availble and I know for a fact Indica induces sleep. 20mg of THC is supposed to help you sleep and 160MG of CBD is supposed to do the same job. Can you shed any light on that?I also own a home in Maine where medical marijuana is legal so I know it induces sleep. Last night I took enough sleeping medication the doctor told me I was in great risk of an over dose. I took 16 Bebadryl 3 Valarian root and one melatonin. At 3:00 am I gave up and drank some acholol. I got 90 minutes sleep. Then then the rest of the day I a,m wiped out. Is there anything I can do. I totally believe I will die from insomnia because recently it is getting a lot worse.

Hi,

No. This is just not found with marijuana. Of course it can cause changes in mentation and mood and in many this helps sleep. It also acts as a mild stimulant and this might lower sleep in some (not the majority). There are quite a lot of prescription sleep medications that should not be overused. First, however, there is the question of sleep hygiene. If you are traveling and relocating, this is going to affect sleep and there may be nothing other than medication for a few days that will help. In general, having tgeh right temperature, low noise, using the be for sleep and going to bed only when one is sleepy can be quite helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
