Can I Be Pregnant With Cramps, delayed Periods And Sore Breasts?

I'm 19, I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago and have been on birth control for about 6 months now. I have been regular. I was also put on metformin a month ago and ran out a week before my period, which started 09/20. I am suppoosed to get my period next week, however I feel I might be pregnant, and I would like your insight. My blood pressure is usually some number/ 90 +, the past 2 days the highest it has been was 122/86. I have also been feeling crampy and having mood swings. I started getting head aches which I almost never get. My breasts feel a little heavier. I have also been like craving water and some other things. However, I get very nauseous around all food. I also took a pregnancy test by first response, it came up negative which I have heard happens to women with PCOS and some have actually been pregnant. My main question is what do you think, do you think I may be pregnant?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Pregnancy is only suspected once there is a delay in an otherwise normal menstrual cycle. In your case, a delay could be due to the PCOS as well.

Although your symptoms can be related to pregnancy, it would not be the first suspicion. The more likely cause would be a hormonal change brought about by either the medication you were on or the condition itself (PCOS).

Either way, I would suggest you to visit your doctor and get tested if your period is in fact delayed.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
