Can I Be Infected HIV?

hi m a dentist while working on a patient a dental file just touched my middle finger but it did not penetrate nor was there any wound visible do you think there must be a risk and does the hiv virus need to be penetrated deep to get aids ? pls do reply

thank you for query.if there is no wound or no penetration of the file there is no chance of HIV getting transmitted.also the HIV status of patient may be negative.so allay all the fears of HIV.if wound abrasion or ulcer are present then there are chances of virus entering the body if introduced in them.You can get back to me for any clarifications .Dr Bharatesh D Basti Dermatologist and Venereologist
