Can Hypothyroidism Prevent Height Growth?

Hello,
I am almost 26 years old, have taken lots of antibiotics and cortison when I was a child because I had asthma and I am only 158 cm height. My parents aren't that tall ( mother: 160 cm and Father: 170 cm) yet I am desperate about getting taller. I stopped getting any height since I was 15! Moreover, I found list of symptoms on the net that I am suffering from, under hypothiroidism:
Fatigue
Weakness
Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight
Coarse, dry hair
Dry, rough pale skin
Hair loss
Cold intolerance
Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches
Constipation
Depression
Irritability
Memory loss
Abnormal menstrual cycles
Does this necessarly mean I suffer from hypothiroidism?
Are height and all these symtoms related to each others?
Is Human Growth Hormone effective as the ysay on the internet?
Is it possible that I get some height?!
Thanks

Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hi.. I had gone through your question and understand your concerns..
Dear, You are worried about your height.. Step by step , i'll explain you.. 1st of all , I have calculated your target height is 171.5 cm according to your Parents height.. So , You are definitely short according to your Mid parental height..2nd point, Hypothyroidism definitely affect growth, if it is established during childhood or juvenile..but you had asthma during your childhood, so even any chronic illness in childhood can affect growth.. You are 26 years old now.. See it is difficult now to get your target height.. Because at 26 years, Growth plate already get closed so very less hope to get height.. 3rd point, if you have all this symptoms then definitely you have to do Thyroid profile test.. Most important, You have to consult Endocrinologist.. Doctor will examine you and evaluate accordingly.. No need to worry much.. better to meet endocrinologist and discuss all your issue..We will definitely help you..
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health
