Can Hydrocortisone And Clindamycin Cause Headaches And Increased Heart Rate?
Hello dr., I have been prescribed hydrocortisone 1% and clindamycin 1% cream for a rash on my face, but I also for the last couple days used it all over as a body lotion. Two days ago I got a horrible headache and felt terrible I m am just starting to feel much better but my heart rate seems to be up 95 which is high for me it does go down when I sit still. Has this caused me harm.
It is not likely that the topical use of the hydrocortisone and clindamycin would have caused your symptoms. Not enough of this would have been absorbed into your system to cause these symptoms.
It is important to remember, however that neither of these creams is meant as a body lotion but treatment for specific conditions. It would be best to use as prescribed by your doctor.
I hope this helps
