HI welcome TO HCM.
High blood pressure is not related to pathogenesis of hyperacidity.Hyperacidity in your father's case can be due lower esophageal sphincter disturbances causing reflux of gastric acid causing symptoms of heart burn being referred to as GERD-gastro esophageal reflux disease. This can be diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal endoscopy.Drugs like Esmoprozole when used for 21 days can cause prompt relief of symptoms.Reduction of blood pressure to normalcy can reduce the associated restlessness and frequent visits to emergency room.Consult your gastroenterologist for further queries.
Thank you
