Can High Blood Pressure Cause Chest Pain And Increased Heart-rate?

I have had high blood pressure for awhile, but have lost 60 pounds and no longer need to take meds for that.... but now I seem to have a low pulse rate..resting rate is 36...active rate is in the 60's..sometimes I have chest pains and I can feel my heart beating hard...but still a low pulse. Thanks

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, possibility of heart block is more.
Heart block means there is interruption in impulse conduction in the heart. Resting heart rate of 36 and low blood pressure are mores suggestive of heart block.
So better to consult cardiologist and get done
1. Ecg.
2. 2d echo
3. Stress test
4. Holter monitoring (24 hours continuous recording of ecg).
You may need pacemaker insertion to increase your heart rate.
Don't worry, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
